The Powerful With Love Fund was established to honor and sustain the work and legacy of Steve Macuk. Steve was a psychologist and an activist, deeply committed to his community and to helping people realize their full potential. His spirit encouraged those around him to work for a better community and a better world. He helped us all to be powerful with love. Steve passed away in March, 2014 after an arduous battle with brain cancer.

Steve was a founder and driving force behind the Mental Health Access Project, now merged with the Olympia Free Clinic, which provides free mental health counselling to low-income people in Thurston County. He was a strong supporter of local organizations including Pizza Klatch, SafePlace, the Food Bank, and the Capital Land Trust. The Powerful With Love Fund will provide grants to organizations like these which help sustain our community and environment.
