Grants

Grants to fund local needs & opportunities.

We build community capacity and support individual and community well-being in Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties. Our grant making programs are made possible by generous donors who have contributed unrestricted and broadly defined area-of-interest gifts, which allow us to respond to the community’s changing goals and challenges over time.

Our Grants Program

We make grants for nonprofit organizations that contribute to the social, health, and environmental well-being of our communities including arts and culture, environment, health and wellness, education, economic opportunity, basic needs and human services, and community and civic engagement.

Community Impact

"At any age, we all have assets to share. Small amounts make a difference. And we really are all in this together.”

- Janet, Community Foundation Fund Holder

“Philanthropy is an important piece of helping to sustain a thriving, healthy community... the dividends are a healthier, vibrant community.”

- Give Local Donor

"I know I can pick up the phone and call the CommunityFoundation and they'll take our call... I've been incredibly impressed with the generosity and sense of togetherness I've encountered in the South Sound. This community is strong because of that and only because of that."

- Brian, Local Nonprofit Leader
