2023 Golf Classic 'Driving Change'

As we continue to drive change throughout our region, we are heartened by the strength and dedication of our community. Thank you to all who joined in on this year's fun!

About

The Golf Classic is a beloved annual event and a time for the Community Foundation to engage with our communities and have fun! Sponsorships and tournament registrations in the Golf Classic help to directly sustain the Foundation's work throughout our tri-county region and inspires local philanthropy; hence this year's theme- 'Driving Change,' which reflects the Community Foundation's commitment to mobilizing resources and working towards important causes and issues in our communities.

2023 Results

Thank you to all who joined us for a fun day on the greens on July 20, 2023, at Olympia Country & Golf Club. We are incredibly grateful to our 2023 donors, event sponsors, and Community Foundation Investors who donated items for our raffle. Together, we raised $54,930, creating some 'fairway' to a brighter future for all. Every swing, putt, raffle ticket, and contribution made during our events helps to extend our mission to inspire local philanthropy. Together, we are indeed a force for good!

This year we had a sold-out event with 130 golfers among 33 golf teams. We also had increased nonprofit participation and presence as we invited folks from the local nonprofit community to play for free or to co-create a sign with our staff to help spread the word about their nonprofit missions and impact to all in attendance. The results were incredible! 18 nonprofits participated through lawn signs, and 9 nonprofits sent board and staff representatives from their nonprofit teams to join us for a fun day of golf. We even had the Hispanic Roundtable, South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity, TOGETHER!, and TVW sponsor holes and share their work with event attendees. Many other nonprofits also helped spread the word about our event through their communications and word of mouth, and Mason General Hospital Foundation even inquired about donating a basket for our raffle. We are thrilled by the level of involvement from our nonprofit community this year, and we couldn't be more pleased to be able to play a small role in connecting people from our nonprofit community to our corporate sponsors and golfers.

Let's hear it for our 2023 Sponsors! Their commitment to this event, not only helps our event succeed, it also deepens our community engagement. This year's event is a testament to the power of collective effort and the significant change it can drive for our communities. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude and thanks for our continued longstanding friendship to our Co-Presenting Sponsors at the Confederated Tribes of The Chehalis Reservation & Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel.

Our raffle at this year's Golf Classic wouldn't be possible without the donations of our generous Community Foundation Investors who donated the various packages. Thank you for your commitment to our communities, we couldn't have raised our fundraising goal without your help. This year's raffle and mulligan sales allowed us to raise an additional $2,480 (included in the total amount raised figure above)! Please join us in expressing gratitude to:
