The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound is a tax-exempt philanthropic organization. Since our founding in 1989, the generosity of our community has allowed us to make more than $28 million in grants and scholarships. These funds have been transformed into college degrees, meals, winter clothes, books, medicine, therapy, shelter, solar panels, forests, farmland, healthy rivers, music, art, and more—all for this place and the people who live here. Whether it’s economic, social, or environmental challenges that matter most to you, we offer countless ways for you to contribute and give back to your community.

What We Do & How
The Community Foundation promotes generosity and advances well-being in the South Puget Sound by stewarding long-term charitable resources that support the evolving needs and opportunities of our communities. We believe that inclusive, engaged communities—where people come together to address local challenges, welcome each other's differences, and collaborate—are essential to creating strong and healthy communities where everyone has access to opportunities to thrive.
By engaging local people in shaping the future of our communities—through grants committees, volunteerism, charitable giving, and partnerships—we stay connected to local needs and opportunities. Through our relationships with civic leaders, nonprofits, donors, and community members, we help mobilize resources to support locally-driven solutions.
